Ozil: I want to become one of the best in the world

Madrid's defender Mesut Ozil claims he wants to become the best footballer in the world.

The German national team member was also pleased with how the first season in the Spanish team unfolded.

"My goal is to become one of the best in the world and I am on the right path," Ozil said. "I am happy and proud to represent such a club."

In 29 Spanish league matches, the defender scored six goals and made ten assists.
