The Spanish football season may end three weeks later than planned, as the matches of the next round were postponed due to disagreements over television broadcasts.

Clubs want to abolish the rule that at least one match of each round must be broadcast on a free-to-air television channel.

The leaders of the country's league (LFP) insist that negotiations with the government on this issue are stalling, so the postponed matches will be held on June 12 - three weeks later than the season should end.

However, six clubs, including "Sevilla" and "Villarreal," have turned to a court in Madrid to prevent the matches from being postponed.
