The football director Damien Comolli stated that active efforts are being made to find footballers who could strengthen the team next summer.
The club owners "Fenway Sports Group" are determined to invest in strengthening the squad, and the biggest steps will be taken right after the end of the season.
"The owners have said since day one that they want to change the situation and do it quickly. That's why I'm looking forward to a busy summer," Comolli said.
"When the transfer window closes in September, we immediately start preparing for the next summer, not for January, as usually big deals don't happen in winter. Of course, we have proved that this is not the rule this year, but the most significant will be the summer."
And he added: "We are talking about players who interest us, as well as those with whom we could not reach an agreement in January. Scouts are working actively."
