On January 12 of this year, Marijampolė officially began preparations for the new season, which the team will welcome with great strength, according to the official club website.

This season, we will no longer see Nikolajus Bestalanny, Audrius Tolis, and Rimvydas Melsbakas in the Marijampolė team. The team will continue to be coached by specialists from Italy, Rino Lavezzini and Mino Ferrari.

Currently, the team's lineup includes five new players - goalkeeper, defenders Enzo Ferrari, Valerio Spozato, and forward Ottavio Braga.

Enzo Ferrari - a citizen of Chile with Italian citizenship, has played in clubs in Chile, Canada, Switzerland, and recently in Italy. Ottavio Braga is a Brazilian player also with Italian citizenship, who has played for Brazil's "Santos," Switzerland's "Lucerne," and Italy's "Serie D" clubs. The 20-year-old Italian defender Valerio Spozato has played for clubs in Italy and Germany.

In addition to these players, the team's preparations for the new season include Viktar Afanasenko, David Čigladzė, Kristian Sagna, Vidas Adomaitis, Giedrius Klevinskas, Saulius Klevinskas, Saulius Butkus, Nerijus Devetinas, Tomas Radzinevičius, Giedrius Slavickas, Mantas Ūselis, Gerdas Aleksa, Gvidas Grigas, Gintaras Žimaila, Aivaras Sasnauskas, Raimondas Glinskas, Andrius Urbšys, and Dovydas Urba. The fate of goalkeeper Audrius Ramonas is unknown at the moment, as he is recovering from a serious shoulder injury and may only be able to help the team in the middle of the season.

By the way, today the "Sūduva" team played friendly matches with FC in Vilnius on an artificial turf pitch, with the result being 1-0 in favor of the Vilnius team. The team will participate in a tournament in Klaipėda from February 1-6. In addition, there are plans for several friendly matches.
