The President Sandro Rosell claims that the club is not ready to pay 50 million euros for the Chelsea Fabregas security in London.
The Spanish champions have been trying for several years to regain the footballer who took his first steps in his career in the academy of the Catalonia team, but moved to England in 2003.
However, "Arsenal" is not willing to let him go for less than 51.5 million euros, and "Barcelona" does not promise to allocate such a sum.
"We are not ready to pay 50 million euros next summer," Rosell told the newspaper "Sport". "We decided not to allocate that much money, even though coach Pep Guardiola asks for Fabregas."
"It is impossible for a simple reason. Football prices drop every year, so if we offered 40 million euros last year, we cannot pay 50 million euros this year. If the coach asks, we will negotiate, but we will not exceed the limits of common sense."
