Bayern Munich extended their contract with midfielder Toni Kroos until the summer of 2015. The club does not hide its desire to keep all local players in the team, hence they recently shook hands on long-term contracts with Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Mueller, and Holger Badstuber. "This is an important achievement in planning the team's future," said manager Christian Nerlinger. "We believe that Toni can develop here and become a great player." The 21-year-old German returned to Bayern last year after two seasons with Bayer Leverkusen.
