Yesterday it became clear that Turin defender Giorgio Chiellini will not be able to play for at least a month due to an injury.

The Italian national team member got injured on Tuesday in a friendly match between Italy and Ukraine, which Italy won 0-2.

Yesterday in Turin, Chiellini underwent thorough examinations which showed that the defender had a torn muscle in his left thigh. Medics predict that the footballer will not be able to return to the field for at least 30 days.

It's not the only bad news in the 'old lady's' camp. Yesterday morning, forward Alessandro Del Piero had to interrupt training due to muscle pain.

The team captain strained the muscle in his left thigh and will most likely miss this Sunday's match against "Roma". Today, Del Piero will undergo examinations to determine how long he will be unable to play.
