Attacker Wayne Rooney apologized for the swear words he uttered after scoring three goals in the English championship match against London's "West Ham" in front of television cameras.
The footballer converted an 11-meter penalty and scored his third goal, and he couldn't resist the congratulations of his teammates. "Man Utd" won the match 4-2, despite being two goals down.
"I want to apologize for what I did, especially to the parents and children who watched the match," Rooney said. "At that moment, emotions were boiling over, but I reacted inappropriately. I didn't mean to hurt anyone."
This season, Rooney, who is facing sanctions from the Football Association, has scored 10 goals in the Premier League.
