After the press conference held after the duel with "Villarreal," the coach couldn't avoid questions about his future.
A few days ago, the Italian television company RAI released video footage in which the "Barcelona" coach stated in an interview with a journalist that his time at the "Barcelona" club is "approaching the end."
The Catalan media immediately reminded that for the anniversary of the "Brescia" club, RAI had agreed with Guardiola that the mentioned interview would not be broadcast, and only a conversation about the times when he played for the Brescia team would be shown. The decision of the RAI newspapers to publicize the interview was called a "betrayal."
At the press conference, Guardiola felt calm: "I want to say that no one has betrayed me, and I am not planning to leave 'Barca' in the near future. I was too naive answering the journalists' questions. Well, it's a good lesson for the future."
The strategist also refused to acknowledge the statement that the fight for the Spanish champion title is formally over, as his team has a solid 8-point advantage over Madrid's "Real."
"If we think we are already champions, that title can slip away. I am convinced that 'Real' will fight until the last round," said the "Barcelona" coach.
