American Stan Kroenke has increased his stake in the London club to 62.89 percent and plans to continue buying out other shareholders.

Kroenke Sports Enterprises purchased shares valued at 11.75 thousand pounds from Danny Fiszman (16.1%) and Nina Bracewell-Smith (15.9%).

Kroenke told journalists: "Arsenal is a fantastic team with a great manager Arsene Wenger. We hope to build on its rich history and move forward to new success."

The businessman, who also owns the NBA basketball team Denver Nuggets, the ice hockey team Colorado Avalanche, the American football club St Louis Rams, and the European football team Colorado Rapids, hopes to acquire another 27% from Uzbek billionaire Alisher Usmanov.

The value of Arsenal club is approximately 731 million pounds.
