The playmaker Alessandro Del Piero writes on his official website that he is rapidly recovering and will be able to take the field this coming Sunday.
After the victory of the "old lady" against Genoa, the captain also urged his team not to rest on their laurels and to prepare intensively for the next match against Fiorentina.
"I will say the same thing I said after the victories against Brescia and Roma: let's focus all our attention on the next match," Del Piero said.
"The whole team thinks the same. Yes, we won three times in a row, but we haven't even walked half of the way. There are still six matches ahead of us.
We can't afford to slack off, even though we have achieved good results. We must remain enthusiastic and trust our strength until the last second of the season," the Juventus captain affirmed.
"I am very happy with the performance of my teammates in the match against Genoa. I must admit, it was hard for me to watch these matches from the stands... I hope it was the last time," he added.
Del Piero also assured his fans that he will be able to play in the match between Juventus and Fiorentina.
"So far, everything is going according to plan, so I will be ready to travel to Florence," Del Piero said.
