A great performance in the second half and a goal by Lithuanian Marius Stankevicius allowed Valencia to secure third place by defeating Almeria 3-0.
The first goal for Valencia was scored by Roberto Soldado, and in the 67th minute Stankevicius sent the ball into the net from a few meters away. The final nail in the opponent's coffin was hammered by Jordi Alba, who appeared on the field after a substitution.
