The Professional Footballers' Association of England has elected Gareth Bale, the star of London, as the best footballer of the year.
The 21-year-old winger has demonstrated impressive athletic form this season and is considered one of the most promising players in Europe.
In the voting of colleagues, Bale beat Samir Nasri who came in second, and Carlos Tevez who came in third.
Meanwhile, the best young footballer was Jack Wilshere, the midfielder of London's "Arsenal", who surpassed Bale, Javier Hernandez, Nani, Nasri, Seamus Coleman, and Joe Hart.
