After the season ends, the club strategist Frank Schafer will step down from his duties.
In October, the specialist took over the team's helm from Zvonimir Soldo and helped them escape the relegation zone. Even though "Koln" has not yet secured a place in the top league of Germany mathematically for next season, they currently hold a safe 12th place.
A two-year contract was offered to Schafer, but he declined and decided to coach the reserve team again from the next season.
