Veteran Brazilian defender Serginho continues to remain in the team - the player extended his contract until 2007, which was supposed to expire next summer according to the previous agreement.

The 2004-2005 season was the sixth for the 33-year-old left-back Serginho in the Milan team. Prior to that, he represented teams "Flamengo" and "Sao Paulo" in Brazil.

This season, Serginho played in only 7 "Serie A" matches and always started the games from the bench.

Yesterday (Wednesday) Serginho scored a goal from a penalty kick in the first leg of the Italian Cup quarterfinals against the team, helping his team win the match with a score of 3-2.
