Torresas: goal will reduce pressure on me (VIDEO) © EuroFootball.com

Fernando Torres celebrated his first goal for the London team and believed that it would reduce the pressure on him.

The Spaniard, who cost 59 million euros, failed to score in 15 hours of playing time, but finally ended the streak by hitting the goal of London's "West Ham."

"The start wasn't what I expected, but it's not easy when you change clubs at the beginning of the year," said Torres. "Now there will be less pressure and I can enjoy football."

The fans were very patient. I wanted to score more for them than for myself. I hope this is just the first of many goals."
