Attacker Jefferson Farfan from Gelzenkirchen is convinced that the German club can cause a sensation and overcome [their opponents] in the Champions League semi-finals.
In the national championships, "Schalke" is only in 10th place, but that did not stop them from reaching the semi-finals, with the first match taking place in Gelzenkirchen on Tuesday.
"The best team in the tournament this season was Inter Milan, as they were the champions and the strongest in Europe. However, we defeated them at home and away, scoring a total of seven goals," Farfan said.
"We have not been able to replicate such successful gameplay in Germany, but it is all due to a poor start to the season. The Champions League is a completely different tournament, much more challenging."
And he added: "We are strong, so I believe we can go all the way to the end."
