After the victory against Pamplona's "Osasuna" in the press conference, coach Josep Guardiola managed to say only a few sentences about the match with the team from Navarre. Journalists were much more interested in the upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final match with Madrid.
"We know that 'Real' is no longer preparing to scatter points in the 'Liga BBVA' championship, so our victory against 'Osasuna' gains double value. We not only took another step towards the Spanish champions' titles, but also maintained a safe eight-point advantage," noted the coach of the Catalan team.
Guardiola also emphasized that he considers the team from the Spanish capital as the favorite in the upcoming UEFA Champions League "El Clasico."
"I believe that 'Real' is the favorite. Many people are saying the same thing now. I understand that 'Barcelona' is not currently in the best form because we are plagued by defenders' injuries, but morally we are ready to fight. The players aimed for victory in the match against 'Osasuna', so I am convinced that they will seek victory in the match at the 'Santiago Bernabeu' stadium," assured Guardiola.
