The coach of the struggling club, Frank Schaefer, has stepped down from his duties, and will be replaced by the sports director Volker Finke in the remaining three matches.
After losing three consecutive games, the team from Cologne is currently in 14th place in the German championship, with only three points separating them from the teams in the relegation zone.
Schaefer announced a few days ago that he would leave after the season, but another defeat last weekend led him to reconsider.
