Adebayor: "Barcelona" football players have to stop crying like babies. © EuroFootball.com

Madrid's attacker Emmanuel Adebayor accuses footballers of acting with theatrics to "persuade" referees to make decisions against them.

Due to a foul by "Real" defender Pepe against Dani Alves, the referee sent the Portuguese off the field for a red card. Although the videos show that there was no contact at all or it was minimal, Alves fell as if struck.

"Perhaps Pepe did commit a foul, but it's doubtful it was worth a red card," said Adebayor. "Whenever you touch a Barcelona player, they fall and cry like babies."

He added: "I have played against Barcelona eleven times and every time my team never finished the match at full strength. Everyone talks about it being a club that promotes fair play, but I don't think so. Their coaches, fans, and players are constantly crying. It needs to stop."
