London strategist Harry Redknapp has stated that the club's priority this summer will be to strengthen the attacking line-up.
In the Champions League, the capital team reached the quarterfinals, but next season they may not even qualify for the prestigious tournament, as they currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League.
Although the team has well-known forwards such as Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, and Roman Pavlyuchenko, together they have only scored 15 goals in the national championships.
"This year has not been successful. In a normal season, Defoe would have scored 18 goals, but both him and Crouch are not doing well in England," Redknapp said. "So, if there is an opportunity, I would like to sign another forward.
But finding them is difficult. Last year we tried to acquire Giuseppe Rossi, but his price suddenly rose to 40 million euros. We do not promise to spend such amounts."
Redknapp also assured that Diego Forlan is too expensive, as his salary exceeds 130 thousand euros per week.
