In the English "Premier" league on Sunday, four matches were played.
The intrigue in the fight for the first place is rekindled - the leader "Man Utd" lost away to London's "Arsenal" and after this setback, London's "Chelsea" is trailing by just three points.
The "Gunners" celebrated victory at the packed "Emirates" stadium against the Manchester team with a score of 1-0. The only goal at the beginning of the second half was scored by midfielder Aaron Ramsey from about 12 meters, who only appeared on the field because Cesc Fabregas got injured in training.
In the first half, the referee saved "Man Utd" from bigger trouble when Nemanja Vidic touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area and prevented Robin van Persie from heading towards the net. The referee did not notice the situation and allowed the game to continue.
However, after the break, a sudden attack by "Arsenal" ended with Ramsey's precise shot into the corner of the goal, and all the efforts of the visitors to at least equalize were in vain - the London team successfully defended and maintained the winning result.
This means that the next Sunday's match in Manchester becomes especially important, where "Man Utd" will host "Chelsea". If the London team wins, they will surpass the leader.
