Francesco Totti had a reason to celebrate on Sunday - his team, led by him, defeated "Bari" after a dramatic battle with a score of 3-2, and the Italian himself scored his 205th and 206th career goals in the "Serie A" championship.

Totti, who successfully converted a penalty kick and an 11-meter penalty, could have scored for the third time, but his second 11-meter penalty was not accurate - the ball hit the crossbar.

With this result, the experienced footballer surpassed the legendary Roberto Baggio in the list of all-time top scorers in the championship and currently holds the fifth position.

"I am happy to have achieved this record and hope to continue playing successfully at this level," said Totti. "The evening was wonderful, it's just a shame that the second penalty didn't go as planned."

The all-time top scorer in the Italian championship remains the 1938 World Cup champion Silvio Piola (274 goals). He is followed by Gunnar Nordahl (225), Giuseppe Meazza (216), and Jose Altafini (216).
