Swiss national team coach Ottmar Hitzfeld did not hesitate to criticize Jose Mourinho and stated that the tactics used by the Portuguese coach are damaging the reputation of Real Madrid.
The experienced specialist, who, along with Mourinho, is one of three coaches to have won the European Cup with two different clubs, said: "I am glad that his destructive tactics, designed for provocations and belittling the opponents' game plan, have not paid off.
Such a style of play does not meet the demands of Real. This is a real shame for the legendary club, causing damage to its good name and reputation."
He continued: "We have met Mourinho several times and his behavior confirms his image: arrogant, excellent, chewing gum like a cow. Barcelona must make him pay on the field."
