Late Simone Pepe goal determined the victory of Turin's "Juventus" in the only Monday Italian championship match against Rome's "Lazio".
The Italian national team right-back sent the ball into the net in the 88th minute after a ricochet. "Juventus" took advantage of the fact that "Lazio" defender Cristian Ledesma was sent off the field seven minutes earlier.
Despite the setback, "Lazio" (60 points) retained fourth place and remained a favorite to secure a ticket to the next season's Champions League tournament.
Meanwhile, "Juventus" (56 points) moved up to seventh place, but have not lost in seven consecutive matches.
Three rounds remain until the end of the season.
