UEFA suspends Mourinho for just five matches © EuroFootball.com

UEFA has strictly punished the master of sharp comments Jose Mourinho - the manager of Madrid was suspended for up to five matches in European cup tournaments.

Such sanctions were imposed on the Portuguese for his statements in the media after the first Champions League semi-final match. He claimed that the "Barcelona" club is protected by referees, and therefore blame should be assumed by both the Catalans themselves and UEFA.

In reality, Mourinho will have to miss three matches in the next season, as he has already missed the return match in Barcelona, and will watch another match from the stands if the offense is repeated within three years.

The highest paid European specialist was also given a fine of 50 thousand euros.

UEFA also punished "Barcelona" goalkeeper Jose Pinto and "Real" defender Pepe, who received red cards in the semi-final. Both are suspended for one match, so Pinto will miss the Champions League final.

"Real" officials confirmed that they will appeal Mourinho's punishment.
