Round 21: "Barca" continues to be hardly stopped © EuroFootball.com

Over the weekend, the 21st round of matches took place in the Spanish "La Liga" championship, where no major surprises were recorded - and leader "Barcelona" continues to play exceptionally strong, while "Real" tries not to fall behind that team, although defending champion "Valencia" once again failed to win.

"Barca" confirmed their strength in Seville, where they won the match against local "Sevilla" with a crushing four-goal margin. Seven points behind the Catalans, capital team "Real" had to work much harder - they won against the bottom team "Numancia" with a score of 1-2, thanks to goalkeeper I. Casillas saving an 11-meter penalty.

Third-placed "Valencia" is seven points behind "Real", managing to recover after conceding two goals to "Bilbao Athletic" and equalizing in the last part of the match. "Espanyol" returned to fourth place after drawing with Seville's "Betis", while "Villarreal" moved up to sixth place after defeating "Real Sociedad" in San Sebastian.

In other matches, Madrid's "Atletico" and "Mallorca" team both secured victories at home with the same score of 3-1 against "Albacete" and "Getafe" respectively. "Zaragoza" won against "Malaga" with a minimal margin at their own field, while matches between "Santander" and "Levante" and "Osasuna" and "Deportivo" ended in draws.
