This victory ended Milan's "Inter" dominance, which lasted five years in a row. In addition, the two Milan clubs are now tied in terms of the number of "Scudetto" titles won - 18. However, both of them are far behind the leader Turin's "Juventus", which has become the country's champion 27 times.

The first place for "Milan" eleven was guaranteed by the 0-0 draw with "Roma" on Saturday. With two rounds left until the end of the championship, not counting the matches on Sunday, the leader became unbeatable for the opponents, trailing by at least nine points. "Inter" could theoretically gather the same number of points, but the results of head-to-head matches give the advantage to "Milan".
