In the Russian championship on Sunday, the Lithuanian Giedrius Arlauskis stood out. However, not from a good side - a gross mistake by Kazan's "Rubin" goalkeeper will be remembered for a long time by many fans.
In the duel with the "Krasnodar" club, the defender weakly passed the ball to Arlauskis, but he made an inexplicable move and the ball ended up in the goal. The legionnaire was left grabbing his head, while the opponents celebrated the unexpectedly gained advantage of 1-0.
However, the "Rubin" footballers later recovered and scored two goals, celebrating a 2-1 victory.
In the national championships, the team currently holds the 6th place after eight rounds.
It is worth noting that due to precisely undefined conflicts with the federation and coach Raimondas Žutautas, Arlauskis has not been representing the Lithuanian national team lately.
