One of the leaders of Dortmund team, Nuri Sahin, has signed a six-year contract with the Madrid club.
German champions could not prevent the transfer of the midfielder, as his contract included a modest €7 million buyout clause. Sahin was offered to stay, but he refused.
The Turk will officially become a member of Real on July 1.
"It was a difficult decision. I will definitely miss Dortmund," Sahin said. "I want to thank everyone who supported me.
I hope that coach Jose Mourinho will allow me to take another step forward. Money definitely played no role - I am leaving only for sporting reasons."
