The French Minister of Sport sees no reason to blame the country's national team strategist Laurent Blanc for promoting racism.

Blanc and football federation officials got involved in a scandal after secretly recorded conversation discussed the possibility of imposing a limit on the number of black and Arab origin children in youth academies. This would be intended to create conditions for white dominance in national competitions and national teams.

Nevertheless, the Minister of Sport Chantal Jouanno insists that Blanc did not directly support the implementation of such measures, so he cannot be accused of racism.

Although the question of quotas was actually discussed, according to the minister, the idea was rejected and never implemented. Therefore, legal procedures will not be initiated.
