Munich presented a new offer worth 21 million euros to Gelsenkirchen's club for goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
According to "Bild", 18 million euros would be paid immediately, and the remaining part - a little later. Another 7 million euros could be received by "Schalke" based on additional conditions related to the goalkeeper's performance.
It is worth remembering that on April 27, "Schalke" rejected an offer worth 18 million euros.
"This option is not even worth mentioning, it is unacceptable to us," said "Schalke" sports director Horst Heidt. "It is definitely worth seriously considering the possibility of keeping the best goalkeeper in the world for another year."
However, after the new offer, Heidt's tone changed: "Yes, our discussions with Bayern are going quite well."
