The sports director of Turin, Giuseppe Marotta, says that the future of the team's head coach, Luigi Delneri, will be clarified in the coming weeks.
The specialist's position in the club became unenviable when his team managed to waste a two-goal lead twice against mid-table teams, thus blocking their path to the UEFA Champions League tournament.
"We have clear ideas, which, once implemented, will strengthen the 'old man'. We will work quickly and next week there will be a meeting where important decisions will be made," Marotta affirmed.
"Delneri has a contract valid for another year, but we have not yet decided on the best course of action."
"Juventus" sports director, speaking about the lost points against "Catania" and "Chievo", when the Turin team failed to capitalize on their lead both times, attributed the reason to a weak team mentality and a lack of playing balance.
"The statistics are clear - we have not lost in eight consecutive matches, four of which we played as draws. In two of them, we failed to keep a two-goal lead against weaker teams," continued the sports director.
"This only proves that we lack a strong team character and balance. We need to solve this problem.
This summer we will work on the players' market to avoid such things from happening again.
"If Juventus wants to return to the football summit, then we must win with a two-goal advantage, as well as by leading with a minimal margin," Marotta said.
