Andrea Pirlo publicly confirmed that he is leaving the club he has represented for the past decade.
The experienced footballer's contract expires in June and will not be renewed. It is said that Pirlo is likely to join hands with Turin's Juventus.
"I am here to say goodbye. I spent ten wonderful years, and now we have agreed that I will leave," Pirlo said.
And he added: "Do I hope that Milan will regret this decision? Yes."
With Juventus, the midfielder is expected to sign a three-year contract.
Pirlo started his career in 1995 at Brescia and transferred to Inter Milan after three years. However, the footballer was loaned to Reggina and Brescia before finally joining Milan in 2001.
This season in the Italian championship, he only played 16 matches due to injuries and scored one goal.
