After Wednesday's late night played last two Ligue 1 matches, the football players of "Lille" were just a hair away from the country's championship title.
In front of their own fans, the 'Mastiffs' narrowly defeated "Sochaux" 1-0 and with two rounds left until the end of the championship, increased their lead from the second placed "Marseille" club on the tournament table to six points.
According to league rules, if two teams have the same number of points, the team with the better goal difference takes a higher position.
In another match, "Bordeaux" at home defeated PSG players by the same result.
