Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson insists that the team needs to buy three new football players this summer, and then it will be possible to be calm for a long time about the composition.
Last week, the Manchester club won the title of English champions, and on May 28th, they will compete in the Champions League final.
The priority for this offseason should be a new goalkeeper, as Edwin van der Sar is ending his career. It is unclear whether another veteran, Paul Scholes, will continue it. Few playing Wes Brown, Owen Hargreaves, and Michael Owen could leave the team.
"We have ideas and I hope we can implement them," Ferguson said on MUTV. "Ryan Giggs and Scholes' careers are coming to an end, Gary Neville has already retired, van der Sar is no longer playing, so there will be gaps to fill in order to secure a strong team for the years ahead."
"Of course, we have excellent young footballers who are improving and strengthening the team. However, probably we will need three high-level newcomers as well."
