The Scottish Cup for the 35th time in the club's history was won by Glasgow Celtic, who beat Motherwell 3-0 in the final without much difficulty.
Ki Sung Yeung put Glasgow ahead in the 32nd minute with an impressive long-range shot, and soon after Gavin Gunning could have restored balance, but he shook the favorites' crossbar.
In the 76th minute, Motherwell captain Stephen Craig inadvertently doubled the score by deflecting the ball into his own net, and Charlie Mulgrew sealed the victory with a final nail in the opponent's coffin.
This was the first trophy for Celtic's manager Neil Lennon, marking a difficult season - the Glasgow team did not match their deadly rivals from the same city, Rangers, in the national championship.
