Jerzy Dudekas emotionally ended his career at the Madrid club.
The goalkeeper from Poland was substituted in the 77th minute of the last season's match against "Almeria." Paying tribute to their teammate, the football players formed a guard of honor, while the "Santiago Bernabeu" enthusiasts applauded standing up.
"When I saw the guard of honor being formed... There are no words to describe what I felt," said the 38-year-old veteran.
"I knew I would play three weeks ago, but I never thought there would be so many emotions."
Dudekas arrived in Madrid in 2007 but played only two matches in the Spanish championship.
"I am very happy - the last four years have been wonderful," added the player who was the soul of the team. "I always tried to help. Time flew by very quickly because the years were wonderful."
