The London club sacked head coach Carlo Ancelotti after an unsuccessful season.

This news was officially confirmed after the last round of the English championship, in which the capital team lost 0-1 to Liverpool's "Everton".

"Chelsea" defended the Premier League title won by Ancelotti last season, but this time had to give up the first place to "Man Utd". The Champions League tournament, where the club ended the fight in the quarterfinals, also did not please the fans.

"The results were not as expected, so it was decided to make changes before preparing for the next season," the press release said.

Ancelotti's contract, worth almost 7 million euros per season, was supposed to be valid for another year.

Not even two big purchases during the winter transfer window helped the coach achieve results: the team was supplemented by the fast-adapting defender David Luiz and the forward Fernando Torres, who has so far scored only one goal and failed to live up to expectations.

"Chelsea" has not yet announced who will take the position of head coach. Earlier, the names of specialists such as Guus Hiddink, Andre Villas Boas, Marco van Basten, Marcelo Lippi, and Rafael Benitez were mentioned.
