The new coach of Turin, Antonio Conte, will be officially appointed on Monday, says the club's general director Beppe Marotta.

The specialist will replace Luigi Delneri, who was fired after the team finished only in seventh place in the Italian championship.

"Conte will be appointed on Monday," Marotta told "Sky Sport Italia". "We thank Delneri for his work. Making this decision was certainly not easy.

Next year we hope to have a similar team, but we will add some top-class players," he added.

This season, Conte led the "Siena" club and secured promotion to the Serie A championship with them.
