Puolėjas Michael Owen praised the strong team composition and celebrated the first triumph in the English Premier League.
Longtime Liverpool player failed to lead the Merseyside team to glory, and only as his career was nearing its end did he hang the first champions medal.
"If you can't beat them - become one of them," joked Owen. "With Liverpool, I won many trophies, but winning the Premier League is the culmination of every player's career."
"I didn't play as much as last year, but we all contributed and enjoyed it. I am very happy and proud to have had the opportunity to play alongside great teammates."
