On Tuesday, immediately several publications from the Catalan club, based on the information of the radio station "Cadena Ser," announced that they are seriously targeting Chichon's "Sporting" defender Jose Angel Valdes.

According to reports, the promising 21-year-old defender is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Spanish champions. "Barca" should pay about 4 million euros for the player to the Asturias team, and one of the players from the "Barcelona B" youth team - Marc Muniesa, Andreu Fontas, or Marc Bartra, could be included in the deal between the two teams.

It is reported that the Chichon "Sporting" leaders should arrive in Barcelona to finalize the negotiations in the near future, but on Monday afternoon it was clarified that all matters related to the player's transfer should be settled after the UEFA Champions League final at "Wembley" stadium on May 28.

Angel, playing on the left flank, is considered one of the leaders of the Spain U-21 national team and one of the most promising players in his position.

The player made his debut in the Spanish "Primera" matches on February 8, 2009, at the "Camp Nou" stadium with "Barcelona." In the match, the Asturian team suffered a setback with a score of 1-3, but since then, according to the media, the scouts of the Catalan club have actively watched the progress of the young defender and eventually decided to offer him a contract.

It is said that in recent weeks, "Barcelona" has received a request from the "Fiorentina" team about the possibility of acquiring 29-year-old Maxwell. It is believed that this fact prompted the Spanish champions to initiate negotiations with "Sporting" regarding Angel.

According to the newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo," "Barcelona" is seriously considering the possibility of bringing back 22-year-old defender Albert Botia to the team.

In the 2009-2010 season, the player was loaned to the Chichon "Sporting" team, and a year later he signed a four-year contract with the Asturian team. However, "Barcelona" retained the priority to buy out the player's contract for 2 million euros during the first three years and, according to the aforementioned newspaper, is inclined to exercise this right in the summer.
