The Spanish press announces that the famous Zinedine Zidane will be appointed as the new sports director of Madrid.
Recently, the Frenchman has worked as an advisor to club president Florentino Perez, but after the dismissal of Jorge Valdano, who clashed with coach Jose Mourinho, he will soon take on much higher duties.
The decision to dismiss Valdano was made in order to adapt the English model within the team, where the coach has a more significant say in making decisions such as acquiring new football players.
