President of Milan Massimo Moratti states that the club has started negotiations with Udinese for the acquisition of winger Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean national team member is being linked with a move to one of Europe's strongest teams after a brilliant season at Udinese.

"I highly appreciate Sanchez and it's no secret that we are talking to Udinese," said the vice-president of the Italian vice-champions. "But I think Alexis still has something to prove. When we acquired Ronaldo or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they were a few steps ahead of him."

Udinese announced last week that they rejected a €35 million offer from an unnamed club, and they have also not received a specific offer from Inter.
