"Premier League" team was given permission to increase their stadium capacity to about 76 thousand seats. The club's fans will be able to enjoy the expanded "Old Trafford" stadium from the 2006-2007 season. Trafford Borough Council agreed with proposals to increase the number of seats by almost 8 thousand on the north-west and north-east sides. All the work is estimated to cost around 45 million pounds. However, these additional seats will bring the club an extra 5 million pounds in annual revenue. With the addition of new seats, "Old Trafford" will become the second largest stadium in the whole of Britain, second only to the new Wembley Stadium."
