The President of Madrid, Miguel Marino, confirmed rumors that the Turin leadership has started negotiations with striker Sergio Aguero and rejected the possibility that the player could move to Real Madrid.
"Aguero will definitely not move to the ranks of our biggest rivals. It would be a blow to me and the Atletico fans. Especially since I have not received any offer from Real. Florentino Perez assured me that they are not interested in the Argentine," Marino said.
"The only person I spoke to about Aguero is Juventus sports director Giuseppe Marotta."
Marino is convinced that Aguero's decision to leave the Madrid team was not influenced by the fact that Atletico will not play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
"I don't think Aguero is leaving the club because we didn't qualify for the Champions League. Juventus will also not play in European tournaments next year. I would like Kunas to stay, as he is a wonderful player and person," said the president of the 'mattresses'.
