Henrique's career turns back to "Palmeiras"? © EuroFootball.com

The defender Henrique, belonging to the team, will most likely not play in any official matches for the Catalan club. According to Spanish and Brazilian sports magazines, the 24-year-old Brazilian is likely to return to his homeland, where he would like to see him again in the "Palmeiras" team. It was from this club that "Barcelona" bought the player for 8 million euros in the summer of 2008.

According to preliminary data, now "Palmeiras" would be willing to pay about 4 million euros for Henrique.

Three years ago, "Barcelona" signed a five-year contract with the player and, based on a prior agreement, immediately loaned him to the Leverkusen "Bayer" team. After the first season in Germany, Henrique returned to Catalonia and trained with "Barcelona", but his skills did not impress Josep Guardiola. The Brazilian was loaned to Santander's "Racing" team for one season. Last summer, the loan agreement was extended.

It is believed that the player's career is heading back to Brazil. It is expected that the final decision will be made by mid-June.

By the way, "Barcelona" sports director Andoni Zubizarreta will not have a restful summer. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexander Hleb, Keirrison, Martin Caceres, and Victor Sanchez, who belong to the Catalan club, will sit down with club officials for negotiations - all of these players' loan agreements have ended. Ibrahimovic may continue to stay at "AC Milan," which has the priority to buy the Swede for 24 million euros. The "Santos" club notified "Barca" that they do not want to extend the loan for forward Keirrison. Sanchez represented the "Getafe" team last season, and Hleb's season in England ended with "Birmingham" being relegated to a lower league.
