Michael Owen, who will soon become a free agent, once again confirmed his desire to stay at the club.
The 31-year-old forward played an episodic role this season and rarely appeared on the field.
"I enjoyed every minute," said the former English national team player. "We have great footballers, wonderful coaches, fans. I hope everything will continue in the future."
In total, Owen played 48 matches for the Manchester team, starting 33 of them on the bench, and scored 14 goals.
