One of the German national team goalkeepers, Timo Hildebrand, unexpectedly signed a new contract with the club and will stay there until the summer of 2007.
Just last month, the leaders of the Stuttgart team had stated that Hildebrand, who had spent a whole decade at the club, would most likely leave the team when his contract expired in the summer, as negotiations for a new contract had stalled.
However, yesterday the team confirmed that a new contract had been signed with the goalkeeper.
