Sam Allardyce will be coaching the London club that was relegated from the English Premier League next season.
The former strategist of Blackburn, Newcastle, and Bolton will replace Avram Grant, who was fired immediately after it was revealed that the capital team will finish this season in last place in the standings.
"West Ham is a great club with long-standing traditions and loyal supporters," said Allardyce. "I wouldn't take on this job if I didn't believe that we can return to the Premier League next season."
